Langstone Rowing

Langstone Adventure Rowing resources now include the support Rib and Mike and the team, Laura, Colin and Steve, have all gained their RYA Level 2 Certificate for Power Boats.

Something new includes the new training sessions to support the Duke Of Edinburgh Award programme, with a physical activity over three months.  In this case three boys are training to row in a Langstone Cutters' Teifi skiff for their Bronze award - with a 10 mile row the target in February is the Teifi at our Boxing Day row last year... complete with Father Christmas and Scrooge..

Langstone Adventure Rowing is a centre to help traditional rowers build their skills for long distance fixed-seat rowing; ideal for individuals and teams planning entry into Channel rowing and a growing number of extreme events that include the Great River Race; Cork Ocean to City, Round Hayling; Round the Isle of Wight; Celtic Challenge; Cross Channel and London to Paris rowing.
Working in partnership with others, Langstone Adventure Rowing provides:
          • support to Adventure Rowing - preparing crews for Cross Channel rowing and other extreme endurance sea racing
          • support to Gigs Round Hayling - Adventure Gig rowing in Langstone, Chichester, Portsmouth Harbours and the Solent.
          • Discovering Leadership and Team Building through rowing - Corporate services to explore Leadership and Team Building under pressure.
Langstone Adventure Rowing is based at the top of Langstone and Chichester Harbours – with miles of sheltered water - and with  access to the Solent and the Channel for practice and practical experience in a variety of rowing conditions.

We operate from Northney Marina with free parking, changing facilities, toilets and showers readily available.  The Langstone Hotel is adjacent with excellent accommodation, classroom and conference facilities .

The programmes include land and water based activities, supported by personal help, video feedback and further development advice. The activities are flexibly designed for individuals, team leaders and full teams. You can either work in our boats or your own.
