Mike Gilbert leads Langstone Adventure Rowing: A uniquely experienced traditional rower who was part of the Langstone Cutters Rowing Club's winning team in the 2008 London to Paris Race.
He helped train and was part of the Gravesend  team in that raced again in 2010 - beating 2 crews to retain the Trophy. He was part of the Reivers 12 team that undertook the a record attempt to row London to Paris and Back to London in 2011 - washed out by the weather when they got to Ramsgate. With Shelley Cook he trained the 2 teams who completed the London to Paris row in 2013. He has just completed his fourth L2P event, rowing with the Donna Louise teams Tower to Tower Challenge - they raised over £300,000. He has won trophies in the Great River Race as well as the Cork Ocean to City race and regularly rows in Chichester & Langstone Harbours and the Solent.
An experienced business process facilitator and coach at IBM; Director of International Training at BSI and past Chairman of the Ashridge Alumni where he helped establish their Lifelong Learning Programmes.
